My utopia is an island

For many people, Utopia only exists in their dreams, but mine is real.

Jutten is an island that I have been going back to for the past four years. This island is a MPA (marine protect area) in the West Coast National Park and is home to many breeding cormorant species.

Why do I love this island... Because when we arrive on the island we live simply, we have time to do things that in a normal day you would not do like go look for the cannon or beautiful oak tree that is white.
On this island, you spend your time chasing pelicans as they try to eat the cormorant chicks. Find awesome swimming spots, collect important data and have fun all while doing the island life.

The reasons why this blog is late is because I kept on editing it. I wanted you to experience what I had seen and be touched. But I have decided that you should go and get out there join the Pelican Watch Program.
